  Photographs can have a major and long-lasting impact on someone individually and on the world. There are reasons such as to bring people together or to make a generalized message. History is a record of past events that is important and sets the tone for what humans can learn from. Being able to define history is valuable but understanding it and studying the different parts is necessary. A specific part of history includes photojournalism which is journaling but using pictures instead to tell a story. 1. Photo by Dorothea Lange   I love that photojournalism has an amazing way of capturing authentic moments even when the past was not all that great. I chose this image because it captures the realness of what was happening during this time period. I appreciated how Dorothea Lange made sure to get an image of the injustices being faced racially and economically. Being able to tell a strong story through a picture is the meaning of photojournalism because it gives the audience something to look for and leaves them curious like I was.
