 I love that photojournalism has an amazing way of capturing authentic moments even when the past was not all that great.

I chose this image because it captures the realness of what was happening during this time period. I appreciated how Dorothea Lange made sure to get an image of the injustices being faced racially and economically. Being able to tell a strong story through a picture is the meaning of photojournalism because it gives the audience something to look for and leaves them curious like I was.

What Motivates Me and Photojournalists?

Many things motivate me in life such as wanting to become a CRNA, my family, my friends and wanting to build a successful life for myself. Down below depicted are the different pictures that motivate me such as my family and even a picture at the beach because it looks peaceful. The picture at the beach demonstrates peace to me since I love to read and be near the ocean and that's what still keeps me going in life which is finding joy in the simple things. The other picture of a CRNA is what I want my career to look like and while going through nursing school that is what motivates and pushes me to do better. My family would be the biggest motivation for me since they have been there since the beginning and continue to be my motivation through the toughest days.  Since I have many motivations in life, so do photojournalists within their career. Photojournalism & Bias

Bias and truth can be looked at and seen in photojournalism but are two completely different terms. When audiences take a look at an image, they tend to have different interpretations due to what they have experienced in life and what they deem to be true.
