Photojournalism is Art
Photojournalism is art portrayed in the best way. Art can be seen as drawings, paintings or coloring but the great thing about photojournalism is it embodies art through images. It tells a story without having to use words or draw; but instead, by snapping pictures to tell one's story and their reality. Photo by Alexander Gardner Year Created: 1865 Subjects Expression In the image the subjects look relaxed and calm while taking the picture, which was surprising to me due to the year being 1865 and a lot of segregation and discrimination happening during the time. In the image the subjects aren't blinking and aren't overly posed which makes me wonder the purpose of the picture. Altogether their facial expressions fit their body expressions and when I was going through my research it made sense due to the time period for African Americans.
